Braden Charles and Aidan Charles

Stole this pic from Stacy's blog. I got to see both my favorite little "nephews", when I was visiting Jill about a month ago, and Stacy and Aidan came for dinner. How could it get any better, my two very best friends at the same time, with both my favorite little boys at the same time! Now, if only they were not 4 hours away!! They are much more photogenic than me (I was in the middle of sweating my butt of cooking dinner!) LOVE YOU!!

Maine Again!

We've discovered that one of our favorite places to be in the whole world, is Maine. For us, it's "the way life should be." (Maine's catchy slogan, but true.) Last October we went for a week, and didn't even come close to having enough time to do all the things we wanted. Not to mention that one of our favorite things was missing, our Koby. Our picture with our names at the top of our blog was taken at the first place I missed my dog the most, Goose Rocks Beach. This beach is known for having one of the softest sands ever.In Maine, people bring their dogs everywhere. They are welcome in restaurants, shops, beaches, on kayaks, on ferries, in hotels, in bed-and-breakfasts, so needless to say, we missed our puppy very much. On Goose Rocks Beach there was all kinds of people with their dogs, playing and running on the beach and in the water. Every dog we met along our way made us want to take Koby back here with us, because he loves everything that Maine is about. Everywhere we went, we said, "Koby would like it here." We decided to take our first long road trip ever with our pop-up camper in two weeks to Maine, with Koby of course! We couldn't be more excited to go back to spend more time in Maine, with each other, and with Koby, and to finish the Harry Potter series with a book on tape. We miss Koby!
Our first stop on our long trip will be 6 hours in, overnight in NY's Adirondack mountains at Adirondack Gateway Campground http://adirondackgatewaycampground.net/. In the morning we'll head for Shamrock Campground in Biddeford, ME http://www.shamrockrvpark.com/ to stay Memorial Day weekend, 7 minutes from Goose Rocks Beach! While we're in Southern Maine, we plan to head back to Bob's Clam Hut, LL Bean, The Clam Shack, Fort Knox, Red's Eats, Portland Head Light, Warrens Lobster House, Flo's Steamed Hot Dogs, the Cliff Walk, Tom's of Maine, Biddeford Pool, Cascade Falls, Nubble Light, the Portland Observatory, Brown's Ice Cream-accidentally found the first time-voted 2nd best ice cream in the country, and of course, Goose Rocks Beach with our Bear, just to name a few :o). Monday evening we'll drive up the coast, hopefully finally stopping at Cook's Lobster House, where word has it they have the best New England clam chowder ever. For the rest of our stay we'll camp on Mount Desert (pronounced dessert) Island at Bass Harbor Campground http://www.bassharbor.com/. We'll stay 7 nights here and enjoy everything that Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park have to offer. We have lots of hikes planned, and lobster to eat! We're even going to introduce Koby to Chaahhlee (Charley with the accent), the little white puppy who looked like a mini Koby, in the Bar Harbor Celtic store. Can't wait for our trip!
