New to the Neighborhood

So, when I changed my name to Adams, somehow we got on a mailing list for being new to the neighborhood. So we got all these coupons for 100% free things in our "new" neighborhood. On Friday, I realized they all expired, and couldn't pass up all the free offers! We spent the evening driving all around town for lots of free stuff! Look at all we got!

We got Chinese stir-fry from the Imperial Dragon, Mexican burrito, enchilada, chimichanga combo from El Rodeo, a half dozen Spudnuts (my personal favorite), a free bouquet of flowers from Wickliffe floral, a cheeseburger from Burger Nuts, 2 spaghetti and meatball dinners from Papa Joe's and Cala's pizza, and a free pizza from Cleveland Pizza! We probably got over $50 in free food! Although not the healthiest, dinners will be real easy this week, and I'm happy to have saved the money!

First to go...

We've been pretty lucky, in that since we've lived here, the only major appliance we had to buy was our stove. So naturally 10 years later, it was bound to happen that these would start to die off. The first to go was our over 15 year old dishwasher. It started off not really cleaning our dishes, and yesterday, the middle sprayer was stuck up, and broke off when we tried to fix it.
So today we went out and found a great deal on a new Whirlpool dishwasher!
It's pretty cool, sanitizes, has an adaptable was which senses how dirty the dishes are and washes accordingly, and my favorite is a silverware rack which attaches to the dead space in the door, making room for more dishes.
The test cycle is running now, hopefully we'll have no leaks.
So who knows what's next... We're listening to our compressor make dying noises in our fridge, and our washing machine keeps depositing rust onto our clothes. One thing at a time...

Inspiration

This week we've been fixing drywall, needing to paint. We've decided to give our living room and hallway a face lift with textured walls (since they look so beautiful in our newly renovated bedroom :0) and this warmer color palate. We found this picture online for inspiration, and are painting away! Our walls and trim will be these colors in the photo, with white doors. Can't wait to see how it turns out!
